What’s ActiveImage Protector™ for Stratus?

ActiveImage Protector™ for Stratus is a system and data protection solution for fault tolerant server, Stratus ftServers®and edge computing platform, Stratus ztC Edge™. ActiveImage Protector™ for Stratus delivers a high-reliability solution backing up the entire physical host / virtual machine of Stratus ftServer® and virtual machine of Stratus ztC Edge™, providing a path to recovery in the event of natural disasters, cyber-attacks, malware or human error.

The collaborative product, ActiveImage Protector™ for Stratus, is available in four editions, supporting Windows, Linux, Hyper-V or VMware.

    ActiveImage Protector™2022 for Stratus provides both agentless and agent-based backup when backing up virtual machines (Windows / Linux) on Stratus ftServer® (VMware, Hyper-V). Agentless backup can be deployed without the need for installation of ActiveImage Protector™ agents, while the agent-based backup feature requires the installation of ActiveImage Protector™ agents.
    *Only agent-based backup of the virtual machines (Windows / Linux) on Stratus ztC Edge™ is supported.

    Incremental backup minimizes the consumption of the system resources

    Daily incremental backup includes only sectors that have changed from the last backup.　ActiveImage Protector™ only runs backup tasks according to a pre-defined schedule minimizing the consumption of the system resources on your machine. Also, incremental backups use of CBC technology minimizes the impact on the system.

    You can specify any available storage location and direct the backups to those destinations, including local HDD, NAS, SFTP server, LTO tapes, RDX as well as cloud storages (Wasabi, Amazon S3, Azure Storage, S3-compatible object storages), depending on your system configuration and backup policies.
